Bob took us through the steps items go through when dropped off for in dry cleaning or laundering.
• Count pieces with customer to ensure both agree how many items were dropped off
• Place copy of the receipt in a bag
• A tag is placed on each item including customer name
• Items are inspected for rips, button loss, stains
• 13-14 chemicals are available for stain removal
• All items are placed in the bag with the receipt
• When ready for cleaning, they are separated by color and by how being processed, i.e., dry cleaning vs. laundry
• After cleaning, items are pressed
• Each item is then inspected again to confirm nothing was missed during the process
• The tags are removed
• Each item is packaged or placed in plastic covering
